Welcome to Parents' Cooperative Preschool in Springfield, Missouri. We are a parent-operated, non-profit organization serving children ages 2-5. The cooperative concept is based on bringing the parents of our students into the classroom on a regular basis, thus becoming an integral part of the child's first learning experience.

Totally owned, governed and operated by the parents of currently enrolled students, PCPS is managed by a Director and Parent Board. Our trained, experienced teachers also guide the students on a daily basis. As the only Cooperative Preschool in Springfield and surrounding communities, we believe that Parents' Cooperative Preschool provides the best possible early childhood experience. Children, parents and teachers learn and grow together.

Founded in 1978 by members of Wesley United Methodist Church, PCPS has utilized the classrooms at WUMC, yet has operated independently of the church for almost 30 years. Membership shall be open to all preschool-age children and parents regardless of race, color, national origin or religion.
